Speaker Mei Gechlik
Summary Dr. Gechlik talked about the progression of China’s “Open Government information Regulations” starting from 2002 to 2014.  Originally the purpose of this regulation is to improve government efficincy.   Subsequently the regulation begin to have words such as “encourage public scrutiny”,  later “expand democratic participation”,  “livelyhood and democracy” and the latest “build a service oriented government with which the citizens are satisfied”.

Dr. Gechlik poses the question “What do you think?” at the end.
