A View of China Not Understood in the U.S.

Summary	Dr. Koo focuses on the importance of U.S. China relations by presenting a viewpoint different from the U.S. mainstream one. U.S. tends to view China as an adversary and rival, whereas China does not see itself the same way. China is not interested in trying to become the world’s leading military or economic power. Dr. Koo also addresses many topics from a Chinese-American perspective, including cyber security, the South China seas, currency manipulation, trade inbalance and international diplomay. He discusses the differences between “democracy” and the Chines form of government. Dr. Koo alwo provided a number of resources on China for teachers, including books and TED talks.
